Star Trek’s Major Kira to Play Mrs. Voorhees!?!

The Friday the 13th casting news frenzy is starting to get a bit confusing, so be careful who you listen to. Bloody-Disgusting.com had reported that Amanda Righetti was in talks to play the lead in the remake, but FridayThe13th.com reports that Danielle Panabaker has taken her place.

I have already been blabbing all over the internet that Righetti was dropped because of her controversial film Angel Blade (See NSFW pictures here), but that is just a rumor I made up while drunk. However I have not been able to get any word if Amanda is or is not still in the film. Could be because I have not tried very hard.

Now Esplatter is saying that Nana Visitor (Major Kira on Deep Space Nine) is going to play Mrs. Voorhees.

“She told visitors to Starfest in Denver that she won’t be in the film long before she’s decapitated: a cast has already been made of her head.”

So the cast so far if you follow all the random reports and sources?

Derek Mears – Jason Voorhees
Nana Visitor – Mrs. Voorhees
Danielle Panabaker plays the adventurous, athletic girlfriend of Travis van Winkle’s wealthy alpha male.
Travis Van Winkle
Aaron Yoo will play quirky Chumbler, who wears his attraction to pretty girls on his sleeve.
Jonathan Sadowski is a techie who knows the story of Camp Crystal Lake.
Jared Padalecki – Clay
Amanda Righetti – ???
Willa Ford – rumored.
