It was no masterpiece, but I liked this movie. It had an original story for a horror movie, and I liked that the story was based on some actual Samoan tatau traditions (I learned that by watching the special features). These genuine traditions really fleshed out the story and gave it the strength to last the entire film.

It all started in Boston 1942 when a young boy putting together a jigsaw puzzle of a named woman. His mother comes in to the room and goes haywire at seeing what he is doing and slaps him and yells and him telling he that he will turn out to be just like his good for nothing father who is off at war. The first time I saw Fright Night, I was in seventh grade and it was late. Even back then, this movie had some sort of charm over me. Fast forward years later and I still love this film. When I first started watching this move I thought oh no another stupid low budget horror film but as it went on I loved it. It’s very bloody and gory which I personally love in a film. The story line is pretty good as well although the plot is your basic apocalyptic/ end of civilization story. It’s told in 3 parts which was very cool as well. As odd ball black comedy thrillers go, “Walk all over me” is about as good as they get.
