It was no masterpiece, but I liked this movie. It had an original story for a horror movie, and I liked that the story was based on some actual Samoan tatau traditions (I learned that by watching the special features). These genuine traditions really fleshed out the story and gave it the strength to last the entire film.
I liked the rugged setting, and the supporting…

It all started in Boston 1942 when a young boy putting together a jigsaw puzzle of a named woman. His mother comes in to the room and goes haywire at seeing what he is doing and slaps him and yells and him telling he that he will turn out to be just like his good for nothing father who is off at war. So the young boy goes and gets an axe and kills his mom and dismembers her. The police arrive…

The first time I saw Fright Night, I was in seventh grade and it was late. Even back then, this movie had some sort of charm over me. Fast forward years later and I still love this film. I love the campy teen drama and the odd, quirky characters and the violence. It’s almost comic book like.Fright Night is writer Tom Holland’s, in my opinion, his best besides…

“They’re not human. But they hunt human women. Not for killing. For mating” – That is the tagline for this 1980 film called Humanoids from the Deep which is directed by Barbara Peters who is better known for directing alot of tv shows like Falcon Crest.
Anyway the film stars Doug McClure(the king of cheesy actors) and Vic Morrow(from Twilight Zone: the Movie).
The film is about…

Love the cast, love the music, love the vicious comedy.I had heard nothing but good things about the film Otis so I had to check it out for myself. Sure it may have won some awards and sure it has gotten great reviews… but we fans know that doesn’t always mean diddly. Sometimes I wonder if these award hander-outers are confusing the process with a game of bingo. But I am…

Going into this one I was hoping for the best. I’m a fan of horror movies that take place inside of institutions and that deal with the psychology of how the mind can break down so easily. I hadn’t really heard anything too much about this movie before seeing it, but the title made me think that maybe it would be about one of the two subjects I just mentioned. As the movie began, I realized…

When I first started watching this move I thought oh no another stupid low budget horror film but as it went on I loved it. It’s very bloody and gory which I personally love in a film. The story line is pretty good as well although the plot is your basic apocalyptic/ end of civilization story. It’s told in 3 parts which was very cool as well. Besides from being bloody it was pretty funny…

As odd ball black comedy thrillers go, “Walk all over me” is about as good as they get. Its a film that really took me off guard when I sat down to watch it because I hadn’t really heard anything about it and besides I poor trailer for it that I saw I had know idea what to expect. What I got was a film that managed to walk the line between seriousness and dark comedy almost perfectly, with an…

Screen legend Bette Davis and horror icon Karen Black join Oliver Reed in this classic haunted house tale. Also appearing briefly are Burgess Meredith and Eileen Heckart along with the character actor Dub Taylor. And I have to give a mention to Anthony James as the creepy chauffer. If what you are craving is a good old fashioned horror film with atmosphere, look no more. Dan Curtis…

You may not see much evil, but you will see tons of uninspired drivel if you throw this one on your queue. I seriously asked myself “what porn director did this?” Little did I know I was right. Trust me, it shows.A bunch of delinquents are given a second chance with a new program that will allow them to spend the weekend cleaning up an old hotel to take a month off…
