Lionsgate Really Screwing Midnight Meat Train

They have changed the release date for Midnight Meat Train more times then I have changed my underwear this week. Instead of going head-to-head with Hellboy II: The Golden Army on July 11th, Meat Train will battle it out with Brendan Fraser and Jet Li’s The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor on August 1st instead.

If they were smart they would have done what The Strangers did and opened against Sex and the City. A smart move offering an alternative for people not interested Sarah Jessica Parker and crew, Strangers has made $25,103,875 so far.

Midnight Meat Train will probably bomb, because of Lionsgate’s indecisive tactics. Meaning it will probably be another ten years until we get a Clive barker movie again, but only a couple until we get a Strangers’ sequel.
