Earlier today we came across a horror website called Schlock Around The Clock, what we didn’t know was that the owner, Michael Adams, is now only reviewer over at Empire Magazine, but also a writer prepping his first horror book — also titled SCHLOCK AROUND THE CLOCK. What the “project” is about will definitely interest the lot of you, read on for the skinny.

According to early pre-sales over at Amazon, the UK horror film Eden Lake (trailer) will be arriving on DVD December 30th from The Weinstein Company (probably Dimension Extreme). When nursery teacher Jenny escapes to the country for a relaxing weekend away with her boyfriend, she is unaware of a romantic surprise he has in store. The location is perfect. A lake enclosed by woodlands, seemingly deserted. The scene is set for a picturesque proposal. But before the happy couple can enjoy the retreat, their peace is shattered by a gang of violent youths. What begins is a shocking and unrelenting game of cat-and-mouse, as Jenny is forced to fight back against her aggressors.

The name of the film, and its basic premise, is borrowed from ‘Hellnight’ from 1981 (Tagline: Pray for day). Although in this version, they are fighting for their lives from an evil ghostie, rather than a couple of murdering mutants.
A group of teens decide to celebrate graduation by staying overnight in a hotel where 5 students were murdered 20 years before. The…

Having heard that this movie wasn’t total crap, I think I went into it expecting a bit too much. By rating the film a ‘5′ I mean I was able to make it through the entire film without having to turn it off, but will never buy it, and certainly will never watch it again!
When the film opened with Tom Savini doing what he was doing (won’t spoil it) I actually got excited and figured maybe…

Extremely Watchable…just watch this movie without any great expectations, and you’ll end up satisfied. I won’t dwell on the storyline, but the acting is pretty decent…so is the direction. Lori Heuring in the lead is hot! The movie has its creepy-spooky moments, as well as some predictable ones. But the movie is guaranteed to keep you watching till the end.

This is a remake but, having not seen the original yet, I can’t compare the two. I didn’t really like this but I would still watch the original, just to see if it is any better.
A journalist goes to a magic show where a woman appears to be killed but just as people are starting to run out in shock, she reappears, unharmed. He is fascinated and goes back again…

First off, let me start by saying that despite the name, this isn’t a horror film by any stretch of the imagination. I wasn’t going to post my review here because of that but I noticed that it’s had some mentions and some clips posted, so I changed my mind.
I should also say that a guy reviewing this film would probably have a very different viewpoint - mainly due to the…

Sadly Quentin Tarantino, which is one of my favorite filmmakers failed his attempt to bring us a bad ass biker film. Better then that sad excuse of entertainment family film Wild Hogs. Larry Bishop who also wrote and directed the film stars as bad-ass biker Pistolero, who along with The Gent and Comanche , hit the road to avenge the death of Pistolero’s old lady…

Holy crap I haven’t had this much fun since Slither. John Gulager’s Feast is sort of a cross between a Guy Ritchie action film, Night of the Living Dead and big bloody mess. If you enjoy clever writing, a fun cast and kickass sequences of blood splattering all over, then you are in for a treat. This baby goes from zero to bloody in 14 minutes and never lets you up for air.The plot…

I loved the show so I was really
looking forward to this but, as with the Sex and the City film, I was left with
a feeling of disappointment because both just felt like longer episodes rather than a
film and neither lived up to the hype.
