UK filmmakers Andy Phelps and Jake Hawkins have been working on their project Zombie Resurrection for a while now, and the good news is the whole film has been shot! They're still putting together funding to finish it off, but we're confident they'll pull it off. In the interim check out the trailer.

Synopsis
Since the outbreak, pockets of survivors live in isolated stockades dotted around the country, and so successful has this separation been that there have been no new infections for months. The zombies have decayed away; deteriorating to slow, shambolic, toothless pests.

We join a group of eight survivors in the middle of a six-day march across the badlands, moving from one of the smaller stockades to the central most-populous hub. A party of people all dealing with the end of the world in their own way - the weekend soldier; the skittish prisoner; the unnecessarily violent veteran; the middle-class parent and his bizarrely well-adjusted daughter; the foul-mouthed chav; the idealistic zombie-rights campaigner; the pregnant religious zealot.

En route, the party leader has a freakishly unlucky encounter with a zombie and loses a leg. With night-time quick approaching and the nearby horde lured by the smell of blood, the party are forced to seek refuge inside an abandoned school. There they encounter the first ripe zombie that they’ve seen in months; less than 24 hours since infection, the zombie is fast, powerful, and absolutely terrifying.

Convinced that there must be other survivors in the building, a faction splits away from the group to investigate and discovers a gathering of zombies involved in a bizarre resurrection ceremony. A mysterious serene zombie lays his hands upon one of the horde, who violently returns to life. Petrified, the man struggles to escape but is immediately re-devoured, a continual recycling of the horde that keeps them fresh and extraordinarily dangerous.

As the party fight to understand the mysteries of the school, they are confronted with their first real test of survival since the beginning of the outbreak. They rescue another survivor, a psychotic denizen whose only memories are of being brutally devoured a hundred times over, and attempt to kidnap the mysterious zombie from the midst of his horrifying congregation. Is he the answer to the zombie plague? How much faith can you have in something that science can’t explain?

As tensions build among the group, the characters wrestle with issues of belief, guilt, and self-interest. With the party fractured, a deadly balancing act develops between survival and heroism in an increasingly splatter-ridden game of cat-and-mouse through to a gore-tastic climax.

How to Play
Can you survive the zombie apocalypse? There are a series of locations around the city. You must find your way to each without being caught by zombies that prowl the streets. At the start you are given the first location and a map. If you make it there, you will encounter a survivor with a story to tell. They will give you the next location, where you will meet another survivor, and so on, until you make it to Resistance HQ. Here you will be scanned for infection. If you are clear, you can enter. If the scan shows any signs of infection, you must join the zombie horde.

The zombies are coming – and Glasgow is first in line. Hot on the heels of Brad Pitt and World War Z, gaming company SlingShot is bringing its thrilling zombie chase game 2.8 Hours Later to Glasgow in March.

The company is to confirm nine new dates for its game in 2012 and will kick off its UK-wide tour in Scotland. The packed schedule will see SlingShot bringing its spine-tingling urban game to seven new towns and cities in 2012 plus stage repeat performances in London and in its home town of Bristol.

2.8 Hours Later is an immersive game, where players lose themselves in the apocalyptic scenario of a city under siege from zombie attackers. Armed with no more than their wits and a map, players have to navigate their way across a city at dusk to find Resistance HQ, encountering groups of survivors and blood-thirsty zombies en route.

The first Glasgow game will take place on four nights from Wednesday, March 28th until Saturday, March 31st. Tickets cost £28 each and will be released on the website soon.

Director Craig Singer dropped us a line to let us know about his new video entitled Shit Zombies Say, which isn't quite a short film... more like part of a bigger event. Read on for the details (scarce though they might be) and to see it for yourself.

While it’s not Alan Smithee this time, Singer has taken the pseudonym “Jonah” for this project, which is a reference to the masked villain in his 2006 horror-thriller Dark Ride.

What we have here is a comedic look at the Hollywood undead featuring what looks to be a zombie Howard Stern portrayed by Ron Brawer — certainly an old-school zombie who doesn’t “work fast” and prefers to be shot (not in the head of course) in black and white.

Some pretty interesting details concerning the upcoming Season 3 of AMC's "The Walking Dead" hit the Internet today along with a bit of news clarifying who won't be playing the Governor on the show.

According to the folks at Lilja's Library, the small town of Senoia, Georgia, in Coweta County is about to become "zombie central" with the show scheduled to shoot in the town in May. Construction of zombie sets will begin next week and will involve 60 local carpenters. Scott Tigchelaar of Raleigh Studios Atlanta says people can expect to see the town a little dirtier than normal to fit the look of the show.

In addition, according to the IMDb, Marvin Duerkholz (The Devil Inside, "Teen Wolf") is set to appear in "The Walking Dead"'s Season 3 premiere episode as Phillip Eagle, a new character who does not appear in the comics.

Now, as for that Governor clarification, the rumor was that John Hawkes was under consideration to play Philip Blake, the psychotic zombie killer who declares himself the Governor of Woodbury. Sadly, Hawkes' publicist has stated that "John is NOT appearing on 'The Walking Dead'." Maybe the part will go to Tom Savini after all!
