With Destiny 2 being one the biggest games of 2017 by far, the E3 trailer for Activision’s sci-fi shooter was just as epic as you’d expect.
Destiny 2 will once again feature the fast-paced online multiplayer action that made the original game such a gigantic success, and best of all, developer Bungie will once again include a story-driven campaign. It will be released on Xbox One and PS4 on September 6 2017, and unlike its predecessor, it will also be coming to PC on October 24. Pre-order here.
If you’re not ready to upgrade to Destiny 2 just yet, rest assured that Activision will be keeping the servers for the original Destiny online for the foreseeable future. Seeing as the combined marketing and production budgets of the original 2014 game came to an estimated combined total of an enormous $500 million, so I guess they’re gonna want to make as much money from it as possible before it goes offline.

Techland, the makers of Dying Light, encouraged their fans to stay healthy by drinking plenty of water, and in response they were sent over 15 million videos of fans doing just that. They were so thrilled by the response that they’re now offering free DLC as a reward.
In case you haven’t realized, they’re making fun of how Activision offered free Destiny DLC to fans who buy Red Bull. Yeah, it’s dumb, but hey, it’s free.
Synopsis: Earlier this year Techland started a health-oriented campaign on social media under the hashtag #DrinkForDLC, encouraging people to drink water and stay hydrated. The fan response exceeded all expectations: The hashtag reached more than 15 million people and resulted in over 15 000 creative photos and videos of fans drinking water, not counting other expressions of support. As a thank you to the fans for their involvement, the development team designed additional free content for the game. Today Techland has detailed the contents of a three-part DLC pack that all Dying Light players will receive free of charge.
The #DrinkForDLC content pack will include:
The Fountain of Youth – all-new exploration-based quest available in the Old Town area.
Water 2.0 – blueprint for a new throwable weapon that intensifies the electrocution effect of all other weapons.
Water Challenges – two brand-new parkour challenges designed around the theme of water.
The #DrinkForDLC content pack will be included in Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition, the complete and immensely improved version of the game to be released on February 9, 2016. Owners of the original version of the game will receive the pack as part of the free improvements update, which will be made available on the same day.

"Bungie defined first-person action games over a decade ago with Halo, and with Destiny they will evolve the genre once again," said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing. And of course, it is a world that brings all of this together with the visceral, heart pounding immediacy of an expertly crafted first-person action title. We are very excited to bring this ambitious, innovative and creative game to players around the world."
"Activision focuses on doing a few things, exceptionally well. And Bungie has had the same ethos," Hirshberg continued. "Together we are focusing the considerable resources, creativity and energy of both organizations to do something new, something ambitious, but most importantly, something fun."
