Be Our Guest to Watch a Preview of the American Horror Story: Hotel Season Finale

Posted by Debi Moore on January 7, 2016

While I’ve been one of the more vocal critics of “American Horror Story: Hotel” around these parts, I have to say the past few episodes have more than made up for the lackluster middle part of this season.  Seeing Queenie get her comeuppance last night even made me think more kindly about the events of “Coven,” although I still couldn’t care less about what happens to John and his family.

In any event, we are coming up on the season finale, Episode 5.12, “Be Our Guest,” and below you’ll find its synopsis and a preview.  Excited to see what happens?  Just glad it’s finally almost over?  Let us know what you think below!

“American Horror Story: Hotel” – Episode 5.12 – “Be Our Guest” (1/13/16)
Iris (Kathy Bates) and Liz (Denis O’Hare) oversee a new era at the Cortez. John (Wes Bentley) and Alex (Chloe Sevigny) struggle to adapt to life outside the hotel.

More casting news has come in for “American Horror Story: Hotel” as Ryan Murphy has just announced via Twitter that Kathy Bates will be returning for the series’ fifth season.

Bates joins the previously announced Lady Gaga, Chloe Sevigny, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson for the show’s fifth season. Jessica Lange announced earlier this month at PaleyFest that she would not be returning… this time.

American Horror Story: Coven’s Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates Take Home Emmys!

Posted by Steve Barton on August 26, 2014

American Horror Story: Coven's Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates Take Home Emmys! The 2014 Prime Time Emmy Awards are in the books, and though most of Seth Meyers' jokes fell flatter than Olive Oyl's chest, there were two bright spots for horror fans!

Two of "American Horror Story: Coven's" leads - Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates - each took home Emmy gold for their work as Fiona Goode and Madame Delphine LaLaurie, respectively. Lange nabbed the award for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie and Bates nailed down the one for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie.

"American Horror Story: Coven" certainly ended on a sour note, but there's no doubt that the witchy duo were the hottest thing going during every second that they had on screen. In her acceptance speech Bates seemed pretty pumped for the upcoming "American Horror Story: Freak Show" so here's hoping for good things!
