Eitan Reuven’s Another World Gets a New Trailer and Artwork

Posted by Debi Moore on January 22, 2015

It’s been a few years since we’ve heard anything about the post-apocalyptic Israeli horror film Another World (or Olam Aher as it’s known in its native land), but our patience has been rewarded as Spotlight Pictures has released new artwork, a trailer, and several stills as it ramps up sales efforts for the flick.

Another World was written, directed, and produced by Eitan Reuven and stars Larry Buchins, Zach Cohen, Carl McCrystal, Susanne Gschwendtner, Davina Kevelson, and David Lavenski.

Look for it in Israel on June 1st of this year and hopefully here in the States soon after!

Synopsis:
In a post-apocalyptic future, a biological warfare program gone wrong leaves only four survivors defending themselves from “the infected” – mindless killers. As they struggle to survive and make sense of what is happening, they find another survivor, intent on revealing the truth.

Sales Trailer, Artwork, and First Details Materialize for The Appearing

Posted by The Woman In Black on February 12, 2013

A new supernatural horror film from Spotlight Pictures, The Appearing, showed up on our radar today; and we have all sorts of goodies to share: a sales trailer, some artwork, and a rather lengthy synopsis. Check it all out!

The Appearing, which is now in post-production, was directed by Daric Gates and stars Dean Cain, Will Wallace, Don Swayze, and Quinton Aaron. Based on true events, it is said to be in the vein of Hollywood blockbusters like The Possession and Fallen.

Synopsis:
City detective Michael (Wallace; The Tree of Life, The New World) relocates to a quaint, small town with his wife, Rachel (Emily Brooks; The Eugenist), following her emotional breakdown after the sudden death of their young daughter. Michael takes a job in the sheriff’s office, thinking not much will happen in such a quiet town. However, on his first day of duty, Michael is asked to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a teenage girl.

Michael teams up with Sheriff Hendricks (Swayze; Heathens and Thieves, The Visitation) to unlock the mystery. As their investigation deepens, they discover the missing girl’s boyfriend is locked up in a mental institution. They meet with his doctor, Dr. Shaw (Cain; “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” Out of Time), who explains they may be dealing with a dark supernatural entity, much to Michael’s disbelief.

Meanwhile, Michael isn’t the only one encountering an evil force-- Rachel is being terrorized with constant nightmares and visions of a bloodied girl. Even though the dreams torment her, they end up leading her to the location of the missing teenage girl. But the case is far from being over as the evil entity now possesses Rachel, and Sheriff Hendricks has a dark secret of his own. Michael will have to summon up all his courage and faith to fight the evil forces in The Appearing.
