James Cullen Bressack, Hunter Johnson Prepping 2 Jennifer

Posted by Todd Rigney on May 11, 2015

Director James Cullen Bressack dropped the road-tripping horror outing To Jennifer back in 2013. Not only was the flick incredibly enjoyable (according to this writer, anyway), it was shot entirely on an iPhone 4s. If you might think that sounds horribly gimmicky and the very definition of an extremely bad idea, To Jennifer may end up surprising you. Amazon Prime subscribers can investigate the flick right now to see what all the fuss is about. It’s definitely worth a look.

According to Horror Society, Bressack is in the process of putting together a sequel, presently entitled 2 Jennifer. Instead of crafting a straightforward follow-up, the film will follow two filmmakers as they strive to make their own To Jennifer sequel. Alas, “a dark secret threatens the lives of everyone involved. Jennifer, a beautiful actress, now has two options: become the heroine of the film, or face a brutal death.” Gotta hate it when that happens, right?

Here’s the twist: Bressack will only serve as executive producer on the follow-up. Instead, writer/director Hunter Johnson will take the helm. Info is scant at the moment — the project is currently in the pre-production phase — but chances are details will start to emerge once the movie gets underway. In the meantime, have a look at the trailer for To Jennifer.
